John Holman is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in breaking news and longer-format reporting. Currently serving as a correspondent for Al Jazeera Media Network since February 2015, Holman has previously worked as a freelance reporter and documentary filmmaker, focusing on critical issues such as gang violence in Honduras, corruption in the Mexican fishing industry, and LGBTQ+ rights in Jamaica between 2013 and 2015. Prior to this, Holman was a producer and web journalist for Al Jazeera English from September 2009 to January 2013, covering significant news events across Mexico, Central America, and Latin America. Holman holds a degree in History and English Literature from Cardiff University, obtained between 1999 and 2001.
