Shion H.

Shion H. is a Senior Software Engineer at Alan, where development of an LLM-powered chatbot is currently underway. Previously, Shion served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Recruit Co.,Ltd. from April 2020 to August 2023, notable for enhancing conversion rates through an image-based hairstyle recommendation system, creating a Japanese version of OpenAI CLIP, and developing a GAN-based image editing app. Additionally, Shion led the launch of a successful business initiative for self-employed hairdressers. Early experience includes research roles focused on AI-assisted drug discovery and generative models at SyntheticGestalt and Preferred Networks, along with data science work and reinforcement learning research.
