Ines Chami

Ines Chami currently serves as the Director of Product & Principal AI Scientist at Alation since May 2025. Prior to this role, Ines co-founded Numbers Station AI and acted as Chief Scientist from December 2021 to May 2025. Research experience includes internships at Google, where Ines focused on knowledge graph embeddings and graph neural networks, and at Microsoft, concentrating on machine reading comprehension and long-document question answering. Ines also conducted AI research at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, explored data science at Rocket Internet SE, and holds a PhD and Master's in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University and a degree from CentraleSupélec.
