Since 1935, AlaTrust Credit Union has been dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve financial success. What began as Birmingham Credit Union, created to serve employees of the Birmingham Board of Education, evolved into First Educators Credit Union in 1994 as our service expanded across the state. In 2014, as we broadened our field of membership even further, we became AlaTrust Credit Union — a name that reflects both our Alabama roots and our lasting commitment to trust and community.

Today, AlaTrust proudly serves members who live, work, worship, or attend school in the following Alabama counties: Calhoun, Coosa, Cullman, Elmore, Jefferson, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker, and Winston.
