Luka Cerar

Luka Cerar has extensive work experience in finance and consulting roles. Luka currently serves as the CFO for the European region at Albaugh, where they started in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Finance Director at Atlantic Grupa from May 2020 to March 2021. Luka also has experience as a Consultant and owner at LUX Consulting from June 2019 to April 2020.

Luka'sprevious roles at Novartis include serving as the CFO for Novartis Pharma with financial responsibility for the General Medicines and Oncology units, as well as an ad-interim Country Head. Luka worked at Novartis from June 2014 to April 2019.

Before joining Novartis, Luka served as the CFO for Sandoz operations in Croatia and as the Country CFO for Novartis divisions in Croatia. Luka also held various positions in business planning and analysis, including roles as the Cluster Head, Global Manager for R&D finance, and Global Analyst. Luka worked at Sandoz from January 2011 to May 2014.

Luka Cerar has a strong educational background in finance. Luka obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Ljubljana, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Continuing their education, Luka pursued an MSc in International Finance, first at SKEMA Business School in 2003-2004 and then at Westminster Business School in the same year. Luka also holds a certification in "Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself" from LinkedIn, which they completed in April 2019.
