Brian Ruby

Brian Ruby is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Executive Director and Founder of Disrupter Education and Community Services since March 2023. In addition, Brian has been a teacher and coach in Albemarle County since 2022, and previously worked at ASHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 as an Access and Student Engagement Officer from August 2021 to May 2023. Brian's extensive background also includes roles such as Learning Specialist and career adviser in various school districts, and experience as a psychiatric counselor. Brian holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Southern Oregon University, along with associate degrees from Umpqua Community College and Rogue Community College.
