Ryan Davidson has extensive work experience in budget and management analysis. Ryan started their career as a Budget and Management Analyst at the City of Charlottesville in June 2005. Ryan later took on the role of Senior Budget and Management Analyst in August 2015 and served in this position until August 2021. In August 2021, Ryan joined Albemarle County as the Deputy Chief of Budget.

Ryan Davidson completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Finance and Budgeting from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government/Public Administration from James Madison University from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Ryan obtained a certification in "LEAD & SEI Presents: Balancing Leadership - Personal, Professional, Organizational & Community" from the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia in September 2022.
