Eric Smith is an experienced professional in the fields of organic chemistry and materials science, currently serving as Program Director and Senior R&T Advisor at Albemarle Corporation since May 2023. Previously, Eric spent 25 years at DuPont, holding multiple roles including Research Fellow, where expertise in formulations for digital printing and application development for various coating applications was showcased. As Technology Manager, Eric managed R&D pipelines for photovoltaic and advanced materials, oversaw new product development, and facilitated technology transfer processes. Eric also worked as a Principal Investigator, focusing on the synthesis of novel organic materials and advancing device processing techniques. Eric holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry, as well as BS degrees in Biology and Chemistry, all obtained from UC Irvine.
