Rod Ruff is a visionary leader currently serving as the President and CEO of Alberta Ecotrust Foundation, where they are committed to advancing environmental and climate action. With over a decade of experience, Rod has cultivated innovative solutions to Alberta’s environmental challenges, overseeing the distribution of more than $25 million in community grants and pioneering climate initiatives such as the Climate Innovation Fund and Project Blue Thumb. Previously, Rod held roles at Champions Career Centre and The Alex Community Health Centre, where they focused on marketing and homelessness research, respectively. Rod's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Calgary and a Real Estate Trading Services License from the Sauder School of Business. Outside of work, Rod enjoys exploring Alberta's natural landscapes through activities like fly fishing and reading.
