Medical Obesity Management:
We are focused on providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based care for patients with obesity. We need to shift how we view obesity: it is a chronic disease that requires treatment. There is no "magic pill" for obesity, but within a multidisciplinary, long-term program, medication has been shown to be quite effective.
Nutrition:
Learning and implementing positive lifestyle choices is key in how we manage our patients. Ensuring the proper mix of carbohydrates, protein and fats is vital.
We also ensure your body's micronutrients are assessed and addressed.
Behavioural Medicine:
Assessing and treating underlying obesity-related mood and behavioural disorders is very important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We strive to provide patients with the mental health support needed alongside long-term obesity management.
Physical Activity:
While nutrition plays a primary role in weight loss, exercise
complements it by burning calories, preserving muscle, improving metabolic health, regulating appetite, and enhancing mental well-being. Together, exercise, nutrition, and mental health formaholistic approaches to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
