Sam Leader is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Co-op at the University of Alberta, expected to graduate in 2026. Sam has served as a Research Assistant at both the University of Alberta, where they work on modeling the impact of space weather on lunar landers, and Polytechnique Montréal, developing electronics for superconductivity and RF experiments. In 2023, Sam co-led the DFGM Payload Team at AlbertaSat, collaborating on a deployable digital fluxgate magnetometer for the Ex-Alta 3 CubeSat. In early 2025, Sam gained experience as a Test Specialist Intern at Xiphos.
