Jan Laermann

Jan Laermann is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at alcemy since February 2021, previously serving as a Machine Learning Engineer. Jan has extensive experience as a Freelance Software and Machine Learning Engineer, notably developing an event organization analytics tool and migrating ML-based features to AWS. As a Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI, Jan focused on enhancing convolutional neural network (CNN) prediction stability. Previous research roles at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) involved extracting semantic relations from texts and creating a traffic prediction system.
