Michael Cunningham

Mike joined Alcentra in January 2013 as part of the combination of Alcentra with Standish Mellon Asset Management’s high yield business, and is the trader responsible for transactions in the US high yield market.

Michael joined Standish Mellon Asset Management, another subsidiary of BNY Mellon, as a portfolio accountant in 1995 and in 1998 moved to the trading desk as a Portfolio Analyst for Core Plus and High Yield portfolios. In 2002, he began trading with responsibilities in the US high yield and emerging markets. In 2004, he assumed full responsibility for US high yield trading.

Michael has an M.S.F. from Bentley College, and a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Mike also holds the CFA® designation.
