Nicolas Besson

Nicolas joined Alcentra in February 2020 as a member of the Direct Lending team. Nicolas is responsible for monitoring investments and managing portfolio workouts across geographies. Nicolas has 14 years’ experience in credit markets.

Prior to joining Alcentra, Nicolas was a Director at Pemberton Asset Management Group focussing on deal execution and portfolio monitoring for private debt transactions on a pan-European basis (2016-2019). Nicolas also spent 4 years as a Director in the restructuring team of GE Capital’s European Leveraged Finance business (2011-2015), following previous experiences in the Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management team at Barclays and the Corporate and Investment Banking team at BNP Paribas.

Nicolas obtained a Masters in International Management from ESCP Business School (formerly ESCP-EAP) and is a CFA holder. He speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and has working knowledge of German.
