Alex Miao

Alex Miao has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2016 when they were a Research Intern at The Catholic University of America. In this role, they conducted biochemistry and cell biology research under the direction of Dr. John Choy. In 2018, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where they conducted machine learning research as part of the Penn Undergraduate Research Mentoring Program under the supervision of Dr. Junhyong Kim. Alex also worked as a Co-President at Penn Blockchain from 2017-2020. During this time, they also held roles as a Software Engineering Intern at Coinbase in 2020 and a Software Engineering Intern at CoinFund in 2019. Finally, they are currently a Software Engineer at Alchemy, a role they have held since 2022.

Alex Miao attended Montgomery Blair High School from 2013 to 2017. Alex then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from 2017 to 2020. Alex continued their studies at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from 2019 to 2021.
