Daniel Coombs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Daniel started their career as a Digital Design Intern at Cambium Networks in 2013, where they tested and debugged the digital portion of a wireless broadband radio and wrote software for a microcontroller function that would be programmed into a large number of units.

In 2014, Coombs worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Microsoft, gaining further experience in the field. Daniel then returned to Cambium Networks in 2015 as an Electrical Engineering Intern, where they focused on digital design and worked on creating test beds using Python scripting and laboratory tools.

In 2016, Coombs joined Linear Technology as an IC Design Intern, gaining specialized experience in integrated circuits. Concurrently, they also worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2015 to 2017.

In 2017, Coombs joined Ocient as a Software Engineer, progressing through various roles within the company. Daniel became a Staff Software Engineer in 2019, then transitioned to an Engineering Manager role in 2020. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Engineering Manager, responsible for overseeing the engineering team. Their tenure at Ocient lasted until 2022, when they joined Alchemy as a Software Engineer.

Throughout their career, Coombs has demonstrated technical expertise in software engineering, digital design, and integrated circuit design. With their extensive experience and leadership roles, they bring a comprehensive skill set to any organization they join.

Daniel Coombs completed their high school education at Barrington High School from 2007 to 2011. Daniel then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2015 to 2017.
