Lucy Commander

Lucy Commander is an accomplished Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia with extensive experience in environmental research and management. Currently serving as an Environmental Research Superintendent at Alcoa, Lucy leads a team focused on flora, fauna, and mine rehabilitation in the Northern Jarrah Forest. Previously held roles include Research Management Officer at the NESP Resilient Landscapes Hub, where strategic initiatives were undertaken to bolster ecosystem resilience, and various project management positions with the Australian Network for Plant Conservation, focusing on native seed strategies and plant translocation guidelines. Lucy's academic background includes a PhD in Plant Biology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Horticulture from The University of Western Australia, alongside a rich history of research and contributions to scientific literature in seed ecology and restoration practices.
