Pedro Pinto

Pedro Pinto has extensive experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management, currently serving as the Global EHS Audit Director at Alcoa since January 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing the EHS Audit Group and supporting joint ventures. Previously, Pedro held roles as Global EHS Audit Manager and EHS Manager at Alcoa, where achievements include the design of a Risk Based Audit methodology and effective management of safety and environmental practices at a large aluminum refinery. Prior experience includes positions as Master Environmental Engineer at Vale, EHS Superintendent at Rio Tinto, and Senior EHS Engineer at Vale, with a focus on environmental licensing and impact studies for major expansion projects. Pedro has an educational background in Environmental Engineering and additional qualifications in Safety Engineering, Flora and Fauna, Project Management, and Financial Management.
