Alkan Gulses

Alkan Gulses, Ph.D., is a Principal Optical Engineer at Alcon, where they lead projects focusing on the design and optimization of next-generation intra-ocular lenses to enhance human vision. Previously, Alkan served as a Research Scientist at Luminit, where they developed innovative technologies for light shaping applications, and held various roles including Research Intern at both Abbott and Corning Incorporated. Alkan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Southern California, complemented by a Master’s in Physics from Middle East Technical University. Additionally, Alkan has experience teaching as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of California, Irvine.
