Dean Richardson

Dean Richardson is a Senior Principal Optical Engineer at Alcon Laboratories, specializing in medical device design for surgical illumination and laser delivery. Previously, they served as a Senior Optical Engineer at Molex, Inc. from 2000 to 2015 and as a Senior Research Scientist at Nanovation, Inc. from 1999 to 2000. Dean also held an academic position as an Assistant Professor at SUNY Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1999 and was a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Army Research Laboratory from 1992 to 1993. They earned a B.S. from Brigham Young University, a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
