Dr Tieshan Yang

Dr. Tieshan Yang is an accomplished Optical Engineer currently at Alcon since January 2025, leading the integration of Hyperparallel Optical Coherent Tomography (HP-OCT) systems and developing metrology-based work instructions for corneal and refractive diagnostics. Previous experience includes roles as an Optics Engineer at Cylite focused on diagnostic OCT systems, a Research Scientist for Quantum Technology at Archer Materials Limited, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the University of Technology Sydney and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems. Dr. Yang has also contributed as a Visiting Research Fellow and Assistant at Swinburne University, and gained international experience at the National University of Singapore and Beijing University of Technology. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Nanophotonics from Swinburne University, a Master's in Optical Engineering from Beijing University of Technology, and a Bachelor's in Applied Physics from Ludong University.
