Hamid Farrokhi

Hamid Farrokhi is a Principal Optical Systems Engineer at Alcon since January 2025, focusing on the development and manufacturing of multimodality imaging systems in ophthalmic and other industries. Previously, Hamid served as a Senior Systems Engineer and Senior R&D Opto-mechanical Engineer at Cylite, specializing in similar imaging systems and advancements in HP-OCT technology. Additional experience includes roles as an Editorial Board Member for the American Journal of Physics and Applications and a Research and Design Engineer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Laser-matter Interaction from Nanyang Technological University, a postgraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Harvard Medical School, and various degrees in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and the University of Tabriz.
