Jed Kim

Jed Kim is a Senior Scientist at Alcon, where they focus on innovative transformations in chemical and biological conditions. With 9 years of experience in organic chemical research, Jed conducted self-led projects on efficient activation of primary alkanes, engaging in a variety of reactions. They also have 2 years of experience in biological research studying GPCR 120's possible connections to diabetes and cancer under the guidance of Dr. Rafael Mayoral and Dr. Da Young Oh. Jed previously held roles as Head Undergraduate Researcher at the Loker Hydrocarbon Institute and Student Researcher at UCSD, where they gained significant skills in techniques such as PCR and Western blotting. Jed completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Southern California and a Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
