Jing Xu is a holistic optical expert specializing in both imaging and non-imaging optical systems, with expertise in lens design, tolerance analysis, illumination, and AR/VR technologies. They served as the Director of Optical Engineering at Ostendo Technologies, Inc., where they developed a prototype of a holographic 3D display and other miniature optical imaging systems. Prior to this, as a Fellow/Program Manager at Siimpel Corporation, Jing was the principal inventor of MEMS single lens moving technology for cell phone cameras and led a NASA-funded project on 3D laser imaging systems. Currently, Jing holds the position of Sr. Principal Optical Engineer at Alcon, focusing on diagnostics and visualization instruments. Additionally, Jing co-founded L1Optics, Inc., developing robotics for high precision optical assembly.
