Julie Self

Julie Self is a Clinical Project Lead at Alcon, where they manage clinical strategies for ophthalmic medical devices and ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements. They hold a Master’s degree in Vision Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where they researched the representation of ambiguous images across various modalities. Julie has also completed an honors thesis in Neuroscience at Bates College, focusing on scene categorization using EEG data. Additionally, they have interned and consulted at several prestigious institutions, including UC Irvine, Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine, and Mojo Vision, enhancing their expertise in neuroscience and clinical trial management. In their spare time, Julie pursues pottery, having built a mobile pottery studio to create functional ware.
