Markus Reut

Markus Reut, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Regulatory Affairs for Switzerland and Austria at Alcon, a position held since January 2021, overseeing regulatory compliance, marketing authorization applications, pricing, reimbursement, and crisis management in the eye care sector. With extensive experience at Alcon Switzerland SA from October 2006 to January 2021, Markus held various roles focusing on regulatory affairs, market access, and quality management across Austria and Switzerland. Prior to Alcon, Markus was the Quality Manager at Similasan Corp., where responsibilities included quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Academic credentials include a PhD in Botany from Jagiellonian University and an MSc in Biology from the University of Zurich, alongside studies at Université de Neuchâtel and the University of Canterbury.
