Scott Pennington

Scott Pennington, MBA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Scott currently holds the position of Vice President, R&D Strategy Realization at Alcon since January 2022. Before that, they served as Vice President, R&D Portfolio Project Management and Operations at Alcon from September 2016 to March 2022. Scott also held roles such as Head of R&D Operations, Head (a.i) of R&D Alliances, Head of Portfolio & Project Management in R&D Alliances, and Head of Surgical Project Management at Alcon between 2014 and 2016. Prior to joining Alcon, they were with Healthpoint, Ltd. as a Senior Project Manager from March 2006 to June 2007. Scott also worked as a Senior Project Manager at Astellas Pharma from 2001 to 2006, as well as a Senior Chemist at Yamanouchi Pharma Technologies, Inc. from February 1997 to September 2001. Scott started their career as the Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control at Mills Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. from November 1994 to February 1997.

Scott Pennington, MBA, PMP received their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology/Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma from 1989 to 1994. Scott then pursued their MBA in Business from the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, Scott obtained the Project Management Professional certification.
