Silvanir Silvanir is an experienced process engineer currently working at Alcon since July 2024 and serves as a research assistant at Xiamen University Malaysia since September 2023, focusing on protein extraction and separation from microalgae. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at the Algal Technology Research Group, where Silvanir contributed to the publication of a review paper in the reputable journal Fuel, and a student helper position at Xiamen University Malaysia, assisting with COVID-19 protocols. Silvanir has also held leadership roles at the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) as Vice Secretary and Head of Department, organizing competitions and managing communications, and completed an industrial trainee position at Top Glove, analyzing glove defects. Education includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Xiamen University and a high school diploma in Natural Sciences from Sekolah Harapan Utama.
