Steven Smith

Steven Smith currently serves as the Head of Global External Communications at Alcon since August 2018. Prior to this role, Steven was the Managing Senior Partner at SP Consulting from 2012 to July 2018, where responsibilities included strategic growth, operational oversight, and client relationship management for the firm's West Region. Before that, Steven held various senior roles at Fleishman-Hillard from April 1999 to June 2012, including Senior Vice President & Partner, where leadership involved managing AT&T's Corporate Communications for multiple regions and leading communication strategies during significant mergers. Steven's career began as a Field Representative for California State Assembly Member Richard Katz from 1995 to 1996. Steven holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Northridge.
