Tim Pickstone

Tim Pickstone is a seasoned political leader and public servant with extensive experience within the Liberal Democrat organization. Since August 2006, Tim has served as the Chief Executive of the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors, fostering collaboration among Lib Dem Councillors across Britain and supporting local election efforts. Currently, Tim holds the position of Liberal Democrat Councillor for Longtown Ward on Cumberland Council, where leadership of the Liberal Democrat Group has been undertaken since May 2022. Tim's previous roles include serving as Councillor and Mayor of Bury at Bury MBC from 2000 to 2022, along with a decade-long tenure as a Non-Executive Director at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Deputy Chief Executive at George House Trust. Tim's educational background includes studies at Runshaw Tertiary College and Bishop Rawstorne C of E High School.
