David Mork is a seasoned process engineer and educator with extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry and protein engineering. Currently serving as a Process Engineer at Aldevron since November 2022, David oversees E. coli growth and protein purification processes. Prior to this role, David held positions as a Process Engineering Scientist at Bio-Techne, where problem-solving in scale-up and analytical techniques was a focus, and as a contract researcher at Abbott Labs, developing protocols for protein expression and purification. An esteemed Associate Professor at Concordia College for over three decades, David taught biochemistry, developed curricula, and mentored student researchers while overseeing multiple projects and managing departmental budgets. David began a career in research at the Mayo Clinic, contributing to studies on enzyme kinetics. David earned a PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma and a BA in Chemistry and Religion from St. Olaf College.
