Alecto Australia is a leading GP recruitment agency with more than 15 years of experience supporting doctors to build rewarding careers across Australia. As a family-owned business, we bring a uniquely personal approach to recruitment, grounded in genuine care for the doctors and medical practices we work with. Our owners have lived and worked in several countries, giving us firsthand understanding of international moves, cultural adjustment and the challenges GPs face when relocating to Australia.

We specialise in helping GPs from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and Malaysia navigate the entire relocation process — from job matching and regulatory pathways to visas, settlement and long-term career planning. With teams in Melbourne, Perth and the UK, we provide local knowledge and comprehensive support that ensures a smooth and successful transition.

Australian-based GPs also benefit from our nationwide recruitment services, gaining access to high-quality roles offering stronger earnings, flexibility, clinical autonomy and professional development. Our focus has always been on long-term, high-quality placements that allow GPs and practices to grow with confidence.

While recruitment is our core service, we also offer tailored consulting and workforce advisory support to medical practices. We help clinics build sustainable staffing strategies, improve patient access, and ultimately contribute to better health outcomes for communities across Australia.

Known for our ethical approach, detailed industry knowledge and personalised service, Alecto Australia is trusted by GPs and practices nationwide. We are passionate about strengthening primary care by empowering GP careers and enabling medical practices to succeed.
