Julia Kuhn

Julia Kuhn has extensive work experience in the field of genomics and scientific research. Julia is currently the Associate Director of Target Discovery & Genomics at Alector, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, Julia worked at Alector as a Senior Scientist/Staff Scientist and Group Leader Functional Genomics from November 2021 to May 2023. Before joining Alector, Julia was a Principal Scientific Researcher at Genentech starting in April 2018. Julia also gained research experience at UCSF as a Postdoc from December 2011 to April 2018. Julia's earliest work experience includes being a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics from October 2010 to October 2011, and a Ph.D. student at the same institute from October 2006 to September 2010.

Julia Kuhn pursued their education at the Freie Universität Berlin. Julia obtained their Diplom (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry, spanning from 2000 to 2005. Julia continued their academic journey at the same institution and completed their Ph.D. in Biochemistry from 2006 to 2010.
