Melissa McClain

Melissa McClain has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Melissa is currently the Director of Internal and Corporate Communications at Alector since April 2022. Prior to that, Melissa worked as a Communications Officer at Kahawa Foundation starting from July 2018. From January 2016 to April 2022, they held multiple positions at Genentech, including Principal Communications Manager, Senior Communications Manager, and Senior Communications Specialist. Before that, Melissa was a Senior Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Communications Manager at Taulia Inc. Melissa also served as a Marketing Manager at Woodmont Real Estate Services and a Marketing and Editorial Manager at Zing Consulting Group. Additionally, Melissa has experience as a Public Relations Consultant at Sideshow, and they interned at San Francisco Magazine and The Knot Magazine - XO Group.

Melissa McClain completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing Communications from Notre Dame de Namur University. Melissa attended the university from 2004 to 2007.
