Joel Millar

Joel Millar is an experienced System Controller at Alectra, responsible for the operational management and control of the Ontario South-Western power grid. Prior to this role, Joel served as a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Design at McMaster University, focusing on safety in design through the PERSEID methodology. Joel's background includes internships at Westinghouse Electric Company and Laveer Engineering, where expertise in developing control systems and adhering to safety protocols in radiation facilities was gained. Additional experience includes personal training, carpentry, brand representation, and cooking, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McMaster University.
