Bertie I. is the Co-Founder of Alectro, a software platform that aims to help service-based organizations calculate and improve their environmental impact. Bertie started working at Alectro in June 2019 and is still currently in this role.
Prior to Alectro, Bertie worked at Jacobs as a Lead Analyst - Emerging Markets from January 2019 to February 2020. In this role, they specialized in delivering market research and analysis for the nuclear and cybersecurity markets in the UK, Europe, and ME&I.
Before Jacobs, Bertie was a Product Manager at MoveGB from February 2017 to August 2017. Bertie led the growth team and coordinated a data-driven strategy, including detailed market analysis, prototype development, and user-story development.
From 2014 to 2016, Bertie worked as a Product Manager at Animus Technology. Bertie also had a summer internship at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in 2013 and an analyst internship at Senergy Energy Services from 2010 to 2011.
Bertie's earliest work experience was in 2008 at J.P. Morgan, where they participated in the J.P. Morgan Schools Programme as an A-Level student. Bertie rotated through programs with trading, M&A, and market research teams and led a team to win a dummy M&A pitch competition.
Bertie I began their education at Prior Park College, where they completed their high school education from 2003 to 2010. Bertie then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Birmingham, from 2011 to 2014. After completing their undergraduate studies, Bertie I furthered their education at the University of Cambridge, where they obtained an MPhil in Nuclear Energy from 2017 to 2018.
