Lewis Johnson has served as President and CEO of Alelo since January 2005, where responsibility includes leading company strategy, operations, and research and development. Prior to this role, Lewis held positions as Interim Music Director at St Augustine by-the-Sea Episcopal Church from August 2022 to November 2023, and as Research Professor at USC/Information Sciences Institute from 1985 to June 2007, where leadership of the Center for Advanced Research in Technology for Education occurred. Additional academic experience includes Research Professor roles at the University of Southern California from 2000 to 2007, focusing on advising graduate students, committee work, and teaching. Lewis's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale University, a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Princeton University, and attendance at Middlebury College for a Chinese Summer School.
