John A.

John A. has a long and varied work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career in 1999 as the Director of Software Engineering at IFILM. In 2003, they moved to Apple as a Senior Security Engineer, where they designed monitoring systems to protect Apple's Corporate and Public facing networks. In 2004, they joined eLine as a Senior Network Engineer, where they were responsible for building a multi-site network and designing a media API in Ruby on Rails. In 2007, they joined Twitter as a Security Team Lead and Operations Engineer, where they were a founding member of the security team and worked on SSL performance at scale, cryptography, XSS/CSRF defense, malware defense, penetration analysis, security reviews, and code reviews in various languages. In 2015, they joined Bolt.com as the Head of Information Security, working on security issues related to the payments industry, user privacy, and compliance. Since 2018, they have served as the Chief Innovation Officer, CTO, and Advisor, Angel Investor, and Consultant at Alembic.

John A. studied Computer Science, Cognitive Neural Science, and Math at Boston University from 1993 to 1997.
