Alex Pruden has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2008 with the US Army as an Infantry Platoon Leader. In 2012, they were a Special Forces Officer Candidate at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. From 2014 to 2017, they served as an Assistant Operations Officer and Detachment Commander for the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). During this time, they commanded two 12-man Special Forces Operational Detachments and was responsible for the training and advisement of allied indigenous forces of 500+ personnel. In 2017, they were a Blockchain Research Analyst at GGV Capital and an MBA Candidate at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 2018, they were a Corporate Development Intern at Coinbase. In 2019, they were a Deal Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. Since 2020, they have been an Advisor at Tioga Capital Partners, an Advisor for the Future of Digital Currency Initiative at Stanford University School of Engineering, and a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer at Aleo.
Alex Pruden obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Arabic from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2004-2008. Prior to that, they attended the New Mexico Military Institute in 2003-2004 and completed the United States Military Academy Association of Graduates Preparation Program. In 2017-2019, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 2018, they were also a Tillman Scholar.
