Sam Reinstein

Controller at Aleph Beta

Sam Reinstein is the Controller at Aleph Beta. Prior to this, Sam was an Actuarial Associate, Living Benefits at Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. from June 2018 to September 2019. In this role, Sam was responsible for Inforce Management of the LTC and Disability blocks and discovering future options for the business, at the block, fleet, and treaty level. Sam also calculated and measured rate increase options for LTC business and gained proficiency in GGY AXIS. Additionally, Sam created a new valuation model in AXIS for a unique LTC treaty.

From September 2019 to October 2021, Sam worked as the Technical Director at The Ticket Guy. As an early central employee in this startup, Sam created and maintained models to project profit for prospective ticket buys. Sam also mainstreamed processes for procuring and processing tickets, inventory, and validation for a fast-growing business. Furthermore, Sam managed market and portfolio risk by seat type, event type, and differing markets.

Before working at The Ticket Guy, Sam was a Sr. Associate, Actuarial at Prudential Financial from July 2014 to May 2018. In this role, Sam worked on Long Term Care Valuation. Prior to Prudential Financial, Sam was an Actuarial Intern at Pension Actuaries LLC from May 2014 to July 2014.

Sam Reinstein's educational career includes passing actuarial exams P, FM, MFE, and MLC, as well as completing a technical skills course at the Infinite Actuary. Sam also has a master's degree in philosophy from Bernard Revel Graduate School for Judaic Studies and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Yeshiva University.
