Rick Cockrell

Rick Cockrell serves as the SWAT & Patrol Commander at the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department since December 2020, with prior experience as an Assistant Commander overseeing Services, Training, Threat & Intelligence, and Special Operations. Additionally, Rick has been an Adjunct Instructor for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) since June 2018, specializing in Active Shooter Response training. As an instructor and sales representative with JPX Sales & Instruction since January 2015, Rick provides training in less-lethal systems for law enforcement, military, and civilians. With a robust background in law enforcement dating back to March 2005, Rick has held various roles, including Threat Assessment and Intelligence Investigator, and has been involved with the Arkansas Tactical Officers Association as an Executive Board Member. Rick Cockrell's law enforcement career began with Texarkana PD in 2010, contributing to the Special Operations Division as a detective before rising through the ranks.
