Tim Maliyil

Tim Maliyil has a long and varied career in the technology industry. Tim began their career in 1997 as the Director of IT at HarborTech Components, Inc., where they wrote a custom ERP system that resulted in fewer operational mistakes and a reduction in employee expenses by over $500k per year. In 1999, they joined Netegrity as a Field Services Engineer and taught nearly 100 SiteMinder classes. In 2011, Tim founded and became the CEO of AlertBoot Data Security, a worldwide data security firm that helps global customers with innovative encryption and endpoint management services. In 2014, they became a Contributor for Entrepreneur Media, where they wrote articles related to cloud computing, information security, and entrepreneurship. In 2020, Tim became a Summer Instructor at the Bronx High School of Science, where they taught courses on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, SQL, and Python Programming to approximately 200 students. Finally, in 2022, Tim became an Advisor for Enigma Networkz, a next-generation cybersecurity platform.

Tim Maliyil has a diverse educational background. Tim began their education in 1991 when they graduated from The Bronx High School of Science with a High School Diploma. After that, they attended Tufts University from 1995 to 1999, earning a BS in Computer Science. In 2009, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)\u00b2. In 2012, they received a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University. In 2014, they earned a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance. In 2016, they obtained a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from the EC-Council. In 2020, they completed a Learning DaVinci Resolve 16 course from LinkedIn. Finally, they are expected to obtain a Developing a Google SRE Culture certification from Coursera in 2022.
