Eric Curwin

Eric Curwin is a highly experienced data strategist and technology leader with a background in engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Principal Data Strategist at AlertMedia since March 2025, Eric previously held the position of Chief Product & Technology Officer at Pyrra Tech from June 2021 to March 2025. Eric's expertise extends to research, demonstrated as a Research Fellow at Citizen Lab, where a focus was placed on applying machine learning to combat misinformation surrounding COVID-19 vaccines. As Director of Engineering at Human Rights First, engineering efforts were directed for the Innovation Lab. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Data Scientist and Project Manager at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where Eric delivered data-driven solutions for government challenges, and as a Captain in the U.S. Army, leading various teams and operational roles. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, earned between 2010 and 2014.
