Derek Thrumble

Derek Thrumble is an experienced professional in risk management and statistical analysis with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Guest Lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University since January 2020, Derek focuses on Enterprise Wide Risk Modelling. As Managing Partner and Partner at Alesco Risk Management Services since 2008, Derek has overseen various analytics efforts. Previously, Derek held the position of Executive Director at Aon Group Limited, specializing in actuarial consulting and innovative risk finance solutions for major clients in the oil and gas and power sectors. Derek's career began as a Director at Anistics Ltd from 1985 to 1995. Academically, Derek holds an MSc in Statistics from the University of London and a BSc in Mathematics from The University of Manchester.
