Beth Psaila is a Co-Founder of Alethiomics, an Associate Professor in Haematology at the University of Oxford, a Senior Fellow at New College, Oxford, a Cancer Research UK Advanced Clinician Scientist and Wellcome Trust Academic Clinical Postdoctoral Fellow at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow/Special Volunteer at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), National Institutes of Health, an Academic Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, and a Research Fellow at Cornell University. Beth has held these positions since 2021, 2019, 2016, 2015, 2013 and 2006 respectively.
Beth Psaila has a comprehensive educational background. Beth obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Cambridge University (Clare College) between 1997 and 2000. Beth then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University College London Hospitals between 2000 and 2003. Following this, they earned an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, U.K. between 2003 and 2006. Beth also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Imperial College London between 2006 and 2010, focusing on the Role of Megakaryocytes in Tumour Metastasis. Finally, they obtained a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists from the Royal College of Pathology, UK between 2010 and 2015, specializing in Haematology. In addition, Beth Psaila has two certifications: an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians obtained in July 2006, and an FRCPath from the Royal College of Pathologists.
