Simon Beitz

Simon Beitz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Simon is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alex.Bank since 2018. Before this, Simon worked at Suncorp Group in various roles. Simon led the Suncorp Innovation team, developing innovation strategies and exploring emerging technologies in fintech and insurtech. Simon also managed strategic partnerships and led the Equipment, Trade, and Debtor Finance sales teams. Prior to Suncorp, they worked at EML as Co-Founder and Director.

Simon Beitz has a diverse education history. In 2017, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. During the same year, they also completed a program in Corporate Performance - Presentation and Communication Skills for Professionals at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).

Moving back in time, Simon studied Strategic Management at the Macquarie Business School, where they completed their education in 2006. In 2003, they participated in the Company Director's Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Simon obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Additionally, they obtained a Senior Certificate from Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie).

In terms of certifications, Simon obtained an Australian Credit License from ASIC in December 2018. In October 2018, they completed the RG 146 Deposit Products and Non-cash Payment Facilities program offered by Financial Education Professionals. Simon also became an Authorised Representative for FSR License in January 2000, certified by APRA.
