John Orgain

John Orgain serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association since October 2021. With a career that spans over two decades, John holds the position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Alex Lee, Inc. since March 2000. John also contributes as a Director for the George Foundation, Inc., Merchants Distributors, LLC, and MDI Management, LLC, as well as being a Director for Lowes Foods, LLC. Past leadership roles include serving as the Chairman of the Board for Frye Regional Medical Center and the Catawba Valley Community Foundation. John’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and an A.B. in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University.
