Jim Cooney

James Cooney is an experienced professional with a diverse background in program operations, business development, and consulting. Currently serving as Director of Program Operations and previously as Program Manager at ALEX - Alternative Experts since February 2020, James has been integrally involved in implementing AI/ML projects for government clients. As Managing Member of Jim Cooney Consulting Services, LLC since March 2019, James offers expertise in consulting. Prior to this, James held executive roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Alaris Advisers, LLC, where growth strategies were successfully implemented, and Director of Business Development at Jankel Tactical Systems, LLC, where strategic advice and ITAR compliance were key responsibilities. James also contributed significantly to General Dynamics Land Systems in business development roles and managed operations at Professional Solutions, LLC. James's career began with the United States Marine Corps, where roles included EA HQMC C4 and AH-1 Pilot. Educational qualifications include an MS/AB from Boston College and advanced military education from the Marine Corps War College and Naval Postgraduate School.
