Jim Schmidt

Jim Schmidt is an experienced professional with a strong background in loss control and leadership roles spanning several decades. Currently serving as Chairman at Alexander & Schmidt since August 2022, Jim has also held the position of President at the same company since 1986. Prior to this, Jim worked as a Loss Control Manager at Penn General Service Corp from 1984 to 1986, where responsibilities included managing field consultants for loss control services. Jim's career began as a Loss Control Consultant at The Hartford between 1976 and 1978. Jim earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southern Maine - School of Business from 1978 to 1981.
