Archana Devale

Archana Devale started their work experience as a Research Entomologist at Corteva Agriscience from October 2011 to July 2018. In this role, they developed and maintained insect rearing methodologies and worked on various research projects involving insect pests in rice and corn plants. Archana also evaluated different techniques for screening and selecting transgenic lines against major insect pests.

After that, Archana joined Zabeel Feed in August 2018 as a Research and Development Officer. Archana was responsible for designing and developing insectaries for rearing black soldier flies, mealworms, and snails. Archana also wrote standard operating procedures for insect breeding and conducted experiments to test new innovations when necessary. Archana worked on global communication and understanding of breeding processes for different insect species.

Archana Devale earned a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Archana then pursued a Master's Degree in Agricultural Entomology at the same university from 2009 to 2011. In October 2017, they obtained a certification in the workshop "Principles and procedures for rearing quality insects" from the Department of Entomology at Mississippi State University in the United States.
